SFH-30, from stop motion animation to live action sports

The SFH-30 pan tilt head is getting around. This past month we received photos from customers who are now using the head:
In SloveniaAAtlanta, who just acquired the SFH-30 in December have put it to use on the set of “The Kiddo – Slingshot”, a stop frame animation film for family audiences.
Milos Srdic, DOP on The Kiddo said the following: “I’m shooting with the Nikon D 700 – DSLR Digital stills camera full frame and I’m very proud to have been able to use the amazing pan tilt Mark Roberts Motion Control SFH–30 head. The technique we use is mainly a combination of stop-motion animation and computer generated images. I have shot several animation films in my career, and this is the first time that I have had the opportunity to work with the SFH–30. I’m truly fascinated by its precision of movement as well as its lightness and stability. It is very accessible and user-friendly!” For more information on The Kiddo click here.
In Spain, Logo 2 Productions mounted there SFH-30 20 metres above the Fernando Buesa Arena basketball court in Vitoria to broadcast Tau Ceramica Vs. Asseco Prokom in the Euro League Basketball Top 16.
The SFH-30 is also scoring well at Real Madrid’s home ground, Santiago Bernabeu, where Logo 2 Productions used the SFH-30 to broadcast a Spanish League Football clash between Real Madrid and Valencia. MRMC provided Logo 2 Productions with a pan bar system that connects to a monitor and 150 metre cables running to the head so they can place the it anywhere in the stadium to capture the action.
