We all know Steve Giralt, The Garage’s founder, as a visual engineering pioneer and an early adopter of motion control technology in the advertising sector. Since then, alongside his team at the Garage, they have made a significant foray into the field of virtual production, integrating MOCO technology and creative storytelling to push the boundaries of modern filmmaking. His work at The Garage focuses on blending engineering, cinematography, and cutting-edge tech to create visually striking brand stories. They have worked with almost all major food and beverage brand you can think of from Budweiser, to Pepsi, Starbucks and beyond.
Giralt’s expertise in motion control and robotic camera systems is pivotal in creating intricate tabletop shots and high-speed visuals that are difficult to achieve manually. This technical precision allows for stunning product visuals, especially in commercials. In addition to mastering motion control, Giralt has recently invested in purchasing the Garage’s own ROE LED panels in order to combine real-time 3D environments with live-action footage. This technique enables more dynamic and immersive visuals while significantly reducing the post-production process.
At The Garage, Giralt and his team specialise in combining motion control, VFX/CGI, and real-time technology to deliver captivating content for brands. They operate as a full-service studio that handles everything from pre-production to post-production, offering custom solutions to meet each project’s unique needs. They also host the full range of MRMCs most powerful robots from the Bolt and Bolt X to the Milo. Their Brooklyn-based studio is designed to foster innovation, creating a playground where the fusion of imagination and technology thrives.
