The hand held box can be connected to any Flair software controlled rig, from a simple head to a multi-axis Milo or Cyclops. The hand held box has joysticks and buttons which can be programmed by the user to perform many different functions, including moving axes, adding keyframes/waypoints, running moves, storing points. The hand held box also has an LCD display which gives the user back diagnostic messages such as the current frame number when running a move, or which mode the software is in.
It is most useful when controlling a rig with many different axes as it allows the user to move multiple axes at the same time or be very close to the rig or the camera when creating a new move, rather than having to sit at the Flair computer.
The Hand Held Box (HHB) also has an e-stop (Emergency Stop) button for safety so the user can ensure the safety of other personnel while moving around the stage even when he is not close to the main e-stop of the system.
