Mark Roberts Motion Control systems can output the exact camera position and orientation, in real-time for any application where computer graphics backgrounds or foregrounds need to be generated such as virtual studios or real-time previsualisation. In fact, Mark Roberts Motion Control's systems were used in the development of the original virtual studios due to their accuracy and versatility. Using the real-time XYZ output option, positions for the camera including roll, zoom and focus are exported 50 or 60 times a second (PAL/NTSC) fully synchronised to incoming video fields, allowing the CGI workstations to generate the graphics. This option is not just for motion control rigs but for any system, from real-time lens data output to encoded cranes and heads, or spider-cam type applications.
