For added height, the Academy Award Winning Milo now has a Long Arm option to give over 6 metres of lens height.
The arm is built up of 3 sections to allow the user to choose the length required for the shot and for easier transportation. Designed and modelled in a similar manner to the standard Milo Arm, the Long Arm has weight and rigidity or stiffness as its main feature, as well as portability and ease of assembly.
The Long Arm has a moving counterweight system so that the arm can still extend or retract, under computer controlled motors, by a meter. This also allows it to be added to existing Milos with very little additional upgrading.
The arm effectively gives over 9 metres of vertical travel, more than any other Mark Roberts Motion Control rigs - even a Cyclops - although, to make full use of this, the Milo needs to be mounted on a platform to go below floor level.
