Miniaturization in Progress

New advances in electronics have enabled Mark Roberts Motion Control to develop a whole range of new DC Motor drives which are a fraction of the size of traditional units and off-the-shelf products.

Much research and development has gone into shrinking all of the electronics used in motion control rigs, enabling them to be smaller, lighter (saving shipping costs), more efficient and lower in cost.

As well as working on reducing the size of all our control computers these new high power motor drives enable DC motor systems to be small and embedded, with multiple axis amplifiers for large rigs fitting in a small briefcase or just a matchbox when using pan-tilt heads.

Below can be seen some new additions to the range showing the original eurocard size board and the new miniaturized versions with certain models capable of running from 12V to 100V and supplying up to 15Amps peak current. These modules can be used with MRMC products or for customers to integrate with their own systems.
