Interchangeable camera platforms allow the easy alignment of the camera to the roll axis. This is
important when matching camera movements with the movements of a virtual-camera in the
digital domain.

The camera can be pointed in either direction, through or away from the
roll-ring. This greatly enhances the versatility of the head with todays ever
changing camera requirements.
