With the development of Stepper axis cards MRMC gives users direct control of stepper motors using the highly versatile Flair motion control software. Each axis card gives control of 4 stepper motors and stepper axis cards can be 100% intermingled with DC Servo axis cards, giving the user full simultaneous control of the DC motors and stepper motors, up to 32 axes in total.
Stepper cards
can be ordered in a variety of configurations from standalone stepper controller
boxes to complete power units. Standalone stepper controller boxes consist of
stepper boards mounted in a very compact box with a connector for the step and
direction outputs.
This is particularly suitable for users who already have a
complete amplifier rack and PSU for the stepper motors, even from another
manufacturer. Using such a unit gives all the advantages of the Flair MC
software.
The complete stepper power units are stepper axis
cards supplied complete with motor amplifiers and a 5OA PSU to power all the
motors.
The unit is arranged in swappable trays each containing an
axis card and 4 amplifiers. Each unit holds 3 trays and a power unit for up to
12 motors. Units can be connected together for control of more stepper motors or
connected to DC servo rigs such as the Milo or Cyclops for model mover control.
