Success of IBC & New DVD Showreel

Having now exhibited at IBC for 10 successive years Mark Roberts Motion Control’s IBC exhibit this year was a great success. Especially the showing of the new DVD showreel which received a lot of visitor attention. Of particular interest was the new Motion Control Tutorial filmed at CCI, MRMC’s west coast sister company. This explains with examples, how to program a motion control shot, the different types of effects one can create and their names, and is practically suitable for anyone from 9-90 years of age. If you would like a copy of the DVD send us an email showreel@mrmoco.com.  The DVD proved so successful that there are plans to add further tutorials in the future.

A copy of the Mark Roberts, IBC press-release is available here in pdf format.

Ulti-head New Features Shown

Also on display at IBC was the new Pan-Tilt Ulti-head which now has dramatically improved features. These include built-in power electronics for 6 DC motors (for use on any axis such as Pan, Tilt, Zoom, Focus, Iris, Camera, Track, Lift, model movers etc.) as well as an Arri Moco interface built-in for direct control of 435 Advanced and Extreme. This allows for camera-ramping, shutter compensation, animation and time-lapse with these cameras. The Ulti-head features also include general purpose inputs and outputs for interfacing to other studio equipment as well as serial ports for virtual studio applications. If you are interested in renting or purchasing the new Ulti-head feel free to request more info from info@mrmoco.com

New Lens Control Motors

IBC also gave MRMC the opportunity to show off the new Lens Control Motors. Based on customer requirements these motors are faster and more powerful than any previous model while at the same time being smaller, "sexier", and costing 40% less than the previous version. On display was an eye-catching purple model but like the Ulti-head it can be provided in any colour including Standard Black.
