Mark Roberts Motion Control
would like to announce the design of the new remote Bloop
Light system. Bloop lights are used as a way to mark the
first or a particular frame on the film to help the editing process in
post-production. It is especially useful when shooting with a free
running camera where it would be hard to tell when the actual action
starts. The RSB-1 is a wireless unit that
incorporates several useful features. As well as a bright bloop light,
it has an optional laser module which can be pointed
on the set in camera view, to indicate the bloop without needing
anything physical or someone's hand in camera view. The RSB-1
includes a remote Start button, which can be used to
start the motion control rig, or alternatively used by animators to
indicate to the motion control system that a frame needs to be taken.
Another addition to the range of
accessories is the new Voltage Test Box, VTB-1.
This simple set of indicators quickly tests and indicates any problems
with any of the amplifier or power supply voltages, without
any complex meters or disassembly required.
