Legendary Special Efffects Supervisor, John
Dykstra, with some heavy weight films under his belt such as Star
Wars, Batman and Star Trek recently
commented on his use of the Milo Motion Control System on the all-time
blockbuster, Spiderman. Dykstra who originally ran George
Lucas' Industrial Light & Magic to create the original
ground-breaking effects of Star Wars, is a veteran to Special Effects
supervision.
The Milo was used in the
"Spidey-Sense" scenes and featured in a special article in Amercian
Cinematrographer magazine.
John Dykstra, visual effects designer said,
"For Spiderman, we used an excellent motion rig from Mark Roberts
[Motion Control] called the Milo. The unit is super fast, super rigid,
and quick to setup and relocate. I was very impressed with the
system."
The Milo is one of the fastest and most
portable motion control systems available which have led to its
popularity and easily earning it the title of best-selling motion
control system in the world, as well as an Academy Award
for technical achievement.
