Another Newly Delivered Arri and
Sony Upgrade

| MC2, the
London based motion control facility is another company to have the Mark
Roberts Motion Control Slimline Head upgrade to allow it to
take the new range of HDTV Cameras and the Arri 435
Film camera. The Slimline head is part of their giant Cyclops
motion control rig located at Black Island Studios, and normally
this pan-tilt-roll head is for use with a built-in integrated film
motion control camera. The upgrade provides the Cyclops with the
ability to carry other cameras including Video and HD
cameras, where traditionally a different head such as the
Standard pan-tilt-roll head would have been required instead of the
ultra-compact Slimline head. MC2 is the 2nd company in
almost as many months to have this option, showing the increased
popularity of the new HD media. Together with the recent development of
the Arri 435 Advanced interface, effects can be created
on the Arri cameras in the past would have required more traditional
cameras such as the Mitchell. |
