Mark Roberts Motion Control Ltd. have the pleasure in announcing their latest accolade for the Milo, the world's most successful motion control rig!

On Saturday, 27th February 1999, Mark Roberts, Assaff Rawner, Ronan Carroll, Simon Wakley and Paul Bartlett, received an Academy Award for their work in creating the Milo Motion Control rig. The event which took place at the prestigious Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel, in Beverly Hills, acknowledged the work of the designers who worked on creating the Milo. Pictured below are Mark Roberts, Simon Wakley, Assaff Rawner, and Ronan Carroll.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have said the following about the Milo, "This radically original and effective solution to the problems of high-speed camera motion was achieved with the combination of novel geometry and dedicated 3-dimensional control software".

In the last few months the Milo has worked on a large number of features, including Blade, Saving Private Ryan, Lost in Space, Star Trek 9, Babe 2, Enemy of the State, Entrapment, X-Files, and many more.
